State Senator Lauren Arthur Responds to United Missouri’s Sexist Attacks

Oct 27, 2020

Kansas City, Mo. — Today, following Governor Parson’s campaign allies’ sexist attacks on Auditor Galloway, State Senator Lauren Arthur released the below statement:

“As a woman in public service, I’m deeply frustrated watching Mike Parson’s allies launch sexist attacks against Auditor Galloway. She has proven to be one of the most successful state auditors — and her record of uncovering taxpayer waste and taking on corruption is unmatched. United Missouri’s ads reinforce and weaponize sexist double standards. The GOP’s strategy is predictable and gross. These ads need to come down now.”

BACKGROUND: Yesterday, Uniting Missouri, Governor Parson’s PAC, released a digital video that attacked Auditor Galloway as unqualified to be Missouri’s next governor. The PAC made the same attack in a new TV ad this morning.
