MDP Congratulates Congressman Cleaver and New Congressman Bell On Being Sworn Into 119th Congress

Today, the 119th US Congress was sworn into office, and the Missouri Democratic Party released the following statement:


“Congratulations to Congressman Emanuel Cleaver and freshman Congressman Wesley Bell on being sworn in today as the Representatives for Missouri's 5th and 1st Congressional Districts. Congressman Cleaver will be serving his tenth term in Congress and has dedicated his life to serving his community. Congressman Bell will be entering his first term previously serving as St. Louis County’s Prosecuting Attorney,” said Missouri Democratic Party Chair Russ Carnahan. 


“Both men are strong, pragmatic leaders and Missourians are better off because of their service. Missouri Democrats are proud to be sending Congressmen Cleaver and Bell to represent us in Washington and will be cheering them on as they deliver for Missouri.”
